My Ryobi 15" ElectricTrimmer ZRRY41002 Not Operable

I recent purchased a reconditioned Ryobi 15" Trimmer, it worked fine last summer when it I got the same. However, I used it once this year and it started fine, once I released the trigger and press the trigger again it no long worked. I checked the power source from the extension cord and the power flow was good. What could possibly be the problem.

[The previous posted solution was garbled by the forum software.]I was thinking about purchasing this product from Amazon sometime soon (today being 4-26-2008). However after reading of the above problems I am not so sure anymore. However I did find a discussion about this problem at the Ryobi forums at " http://209.235.218.9/dc/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=112&topic_id=597 ". (If the link does not work go to " http://209.235.218.9/dc/dcboard.php " and do a search for " 597 ". One of the displayed threads will be entitled "weedeater problem?" It will have the proper link to the discussion.) From the multiple postings in that thread it appears that the switch is the problem and it seems to be a consistent problem for many users. The switch itself can be replaced for less than $4, however the shipping seems to drive the cost up to anywhere from $12 to $15, unless one can find a local supplier. I hope that this helps.v_v
